Returning by Another Path
We have been staying at home to make it safe for our neighbors as ourselves! Yet we are connected in solidarity and in tech…dispersed yet connected…thanks to the resourceful, adaptable efforts of passionate - and compassionate - culinary professionals and others everywhere making it possible!
Now, we are beginning to take initial, cautious steps, towards a "Return." We know it won't - initially, at least - look like a "Return to Normal". Nevertheless, we celebrate these steps, and we encourage you to follow this same path.

Mourning the closure of Washington's Oldest Grocery - Aldrich's
Aldrich's has seen the Spanish Flu. Two World Wars. Two major fires, plus numerous Economic highs & lows. Aldrich's has also been the anchor of Port Townsend's uptown area for over 125 years.
It's with great sorrow - and indearing thanks to owners Scott & Robin - that we say "Good Bye" to an icon of small, independent community grocery stores. RIP Aldrich's

"Stay Home - Stay Safe" Until it's OK to again visit the LOOP
Washington's Governor Jay Inslee is updatings the state's COVID-19 response with regular press conferences. Recently the governor was joined by Crystal Dingler, mayor of Ocean Shores, (SW corner of the LOOP), where she placed a ban on any and all overnight rentals within the city as an attempt to further enforce the "Stay Home - Stay Safe" order.
Canterbury Inn stated it well. "We really want to see you (hopefully) in May, but if you all don't stop traveling you are going to make it so your favorite vacation spot(s) can't open back up."
WHEN it's time - WHEN it's safe - We'll be here to WELCOME you back around the LOOP!
