On any 'typical' Easter edition of the OCL "Fresh Sheet," the entire LOOP would be hopping with Easter Brunch specials and all types of celebrations of springing to life all around the Olympic Peninsula.
This is not our 'normal' Easter. The COVID-19 pandemic has halted travel and radically altered the way our partners conduct business.
So instead of tasty brunch offerings, we're bringing you just a few insights into how ou,r always passionate, always creative, partners have pivoted in response to these challenging times, and how you can help.

Nourish’s meals program helps feed local medical staff & community
 
Public fuels Nourish Sequim's business GoFundMe drive past $10K.
Amid an ever-changing world reeling from the new coronavirus, Nourish's Tanya and Dave Rose are finding silver linings while they reinvent their garden-to-plate, local food-rooted restaurant into meals on wheels.
And while fans of the Sequim eatery can continue to get Nourish’s made-from-scratch food through it’s Dine at Home service, a group of Olympic Medical Center (OMC) employees are getting the benefit of the locally prepared food thanks to the outpouring of support.
The Sequim couple, in part inspired by a Seattle company’s efforts to help healthcare workers, created a Meals for Medics GoFundMe drive to collect funds for meals for OMC’s staff in the intensive care unit.
The fund that started last week grew past the original $10,000 goal and has now been bumped up to $15,000.
“We’ve been blown away,” Tanya Rose said.

Westport Winery uses riesling to produce sanitizer for law enforcement and first responders.
 
Kim Roberts and her family at Westport Winery Garden Resort rank among the most innovative, eclectic and acclaimed wineries in the Pacific Northwest.
Last week, their young Ocean’s Daughter Distillery project pivoted into a position of producing hand sanitizer for regional law enforcement and first responders working amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
“We’ve warned our neighbors that they will see a large police presence at our property right now because they are all here to get hand sanitizer,” Roberts said.
 
More than 30 cases of hand sanitizer — which equates to about 360 wine bottles — have been dispensed to law enforcement and first responders. 
 
Those in law enforcement seemed to be half-joking when they took possession of the hand sanitizer. It came in a standard green 750-milliliter wine bottle emblazoned with a “DANGER — Highly Flammable” sticker of warning.
